Custom Branding Overview

HYPR Passwordless supports custom branding so that the client experience matches your organization’s visual identity across both Windows and macOS.

This page explains the overall approach and links to platform‑specific guides.

What you can customize

Across platforms you can typically customize:

  • Application identity: app name and icon as it appears in the OS (Start menu, Dock, Applications list, Spotlight, etc.).
  • On‑screen visuals: logo and background image shown in the HYPR Passwordless UI.
  • Advanced visuals (where enabled): deeper UI elements such as button styles, layout, and additional graphics via optional skin bundles.

Exact capabilities depend on platform and subscription (for example, Advanced Branding on Windows is available to specific tiers).

High‑level process

At a high level, custom branding follows this pattern:

  1. Plan your branding assets
    • Decide on application name and icon.
    • Prepare logo and background images that meet the recommended formats and sizes.
  2. Configure tenant‑level branding in Control Center (where applicable)
    • Use the Custom Branding settings to align global branding and, for certain products like Affirm, manage end‑user screen content and SMS branding.
  3. Apply platform‑specific branding at install time
    • For each platform, provide the appropriate configuration (e.g., hypr.json, plist, installer parameters) and any optional skin bundles alongside the installer.
  4. Test and iterate
    • Install in a test environment, verify the look and feel, and update assets or configuration as needed before broad rollout.

Platform‑specific guides

Use the following guides for detailed steps and examples:

  • Windows: Branding Customization (Windows)
Configure basic branding via installer parameters or hypr.json, and optionally enable Advanced Branding using a Windows branding kit.

  • macOS: Branding Customization (macOS)
Configure basic branding via hypr.json/plist and, where available, apply advanced branding with a CustomSkin.bundle deployed alongside the Mac installer.
