HYPR provides the ability to use multiple passwordless authentication methods. Admins can configure the authentication policy for different actions, such as desktop login, web login or transaction approval.

Each authentication policy can contain one or multiple authenticators.

HYPR Authenticators

Native Biometric Authenticator

This authentication method will use the registered devices' biometric authenticators, such as FaceID or TouchID on iOS and Face, Fingerprint, or Iris authenticators on Android.

HYPR Decentralized PIN Authenticator

This authenticator is built and maintained by HYPR. This is a different type of authentication which uses a Decentralized PIN stored on the device and used to unlock a private key.

This authentication method requires the user to register a 6-digit PIN. This PIN can only be used to authenticate with HYPR.
