Contact Support

HYPR Passwordless: Advanced Configuration

Clicking Contact Support at the bottom left of the HYPR Passwordless client opens a form to submit critical information, including log files, to a predefined email address. Both the Contact Support and Need Assistance? labels now include handy customizations to improve the user experience when help is needed.

Optional Support Email

Previously the support email address was a mandatory configuration setting. This is now controlled using the following settings

  • Mac: Optional Support Email is controlled by the SupportEmail configuration setting in the HyprOneService.plist file
  • Windows: Optional Support Email is controlled by the Support Email registry key or supportEmail in the hypr.json file

Support Email Functionality

  • If In-App Logs Submission is enabled in Control Center Workstation Settings, users will be able to directly generate an email to the configured address just by clicking Send on the Contact Support dialog
  • If In-App Logs Submission is disabled and the email address is provided, clicking Send on the Contact Support dialog will open the default email client and use the provided email address
  • If In-App Logs Submission is disabled and the email address is left empty, the user will be required to provide an address to the email client and send the email

Contact Support Label Customization

The Contact Support link label can be customized:

  • Mac: The Contact Support label is controlled by the SendLogsPrompt configuration setting in the HyprOneService.plist file
  • Windows: The Contact Support label is controlled by the Send Logs Prompt registry key or sendLogsPrompt in the hypr.json file

Need Assistance? Label Customization

The Need Assistance? label can be customized to open a URL (e.g., a help page, intranet site, support site) in the default browser.

  • Mac: The Need Assistance? label is controlled by the SupportURL configuration setting in the HyprOneService.plist file
  • Windows: The Need Assistance? label is controlled by the Support URL registry key or supportURL in the hypr.json file
