Backward Compatibility

All HYPR components are fully compatible across the three previous/subsequent minor (X.X) HYPR releases.

HYPR Control Center

Enhancements

▸ Continuous log upload

Workstations and HYPR Mobile App devices can upload their diagnostic logs to Control Center on a schedule, so the logs are already on the Logs tab when HYPR Support needs them. The Logs page explains when each platform uploads, what it uploads and how to turn log upload off.

  • Control Center keeps uploaded logs for 30 days, then deletes them.
  • On the Logs tab, you download the logs for one device or workstation at a time, from its row. The tab no longer shows log sizes or offers a combined .zip download.

Log upload is turned on or off for the whole tenant. Contact HYPR Support to turn it on.

HYPR Passwordless for Windows

Enhancements

▸ Log upload settings in the installer

HYPR Passwordless for Windows 11.5.1 adds two settings for log upload. Both take effect only when log upload is turned on for the tenant.

  • logUploadInterval sets the number of minutes between uploads. The default is 30.
  • uploadWindowsLogs sets whether the Windows System, Application and Security event logs are uploaded along with the HYPR logs. They are uploaded by default.

Files waiting to upload now sit in an Upload subfolder of C:\Program Files\HYPR\Log, so the log folder holds only the HYPR logs when you collect them by hand.

HYPR Mobile App

Enhancements

▸ Continuous log upload on iOS and Android

These changes are in the HYPR Mobile App 11.5.1 for Android and 11.5.2 for iOS.

  • While the app is in use, it uploads its logs at most once every 2 minutes.
  • When log upload is turned off for the tenant, the app stops uploading at once. On iOS, logs waiting to upload are discarded. On Android, they are kept, up to 1 MB, and uploaded when log upload is turned back on.
  • When Control Center asks clients to slow down, the app waits before it tries again, for up to an hour.
  • On iOS, Send to Support attaches the full log history, including logs already uploaded.
  • On iOS, logs stored on the phone before the update are cleared the first time the 11.5.2 app opens.

Bug Fixes

HYPR Passwordless for Windows

  • Large log collections now upload to Control Center. HYPR Passwordless splits them into smaller files before it uploads them.

HYPR Passwordless for Mac

  • Uploaded logs now start at their first log entry, so the Logs tab shows the time range they actually cover.
  • Log uploads now include the HYPR Passwordless cryptography and offline mode logs.

HYPR Mobile App for Android

  • Uploaded logs now cover the time of the log entries they hold, so you can find them on the Logs tab by when the events happened.
  • Send to Support now confirms the request only after the logs are sent. If support isn't set up for the account, the app says so.

HYPR Affirm

  • A date of birth from the user directory is now validated before it prefills the Extended Info step.
  • When AML Checks or OFAC Checks is turned on without Identity Verification With Document Issuer, the screening now includes the requester's date of birth.
  • The Testing tab of a code customization now shows the error message and the logs when the customization fails.

Security

  • Various platform-wide security enhancements.
